Advancement
Advancement is the process by which youth members progress from rank to rank in the different Scouting programs. The advancement program is structured, yet flexible; each youth plans their advancement and progresses at their own pace.
Advancement Program
Education and fun are the basis of the advancement program. Based on this foundation, advancement requirements in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Exploring and Sea Scouts aim to help a young person achieve physical, intellectual and character development growth.
Advancement reporting is coordinated by each unit’s Advancement Chair and can only be recognized for youth registered in the unit at the time.
