Cub Scout Day Camp

Gold Rush 49er Day Camp shenanigans will include finding golden nuggets, crafting tin lanterns, honing archery skills, and playing frontier games. Best of all, the “49ers” will be outdoors all afternoon!
Cub Scout Day Camp is open to all 1st-4th grade boys and girls, including those who are not Scouts and/or attend school outside Piedmont. Escort service is available to/from Piedmont Recreation Department Schoolmates.
The week will culminate with the famous Egg Drop Extravaganza. Day campers will explore the law of physics first-hand by building containers to protect a raw egg that’s dropped from the top of the Piedmont Fire Department’s fire engine ladder. Designs feature spinners, parachutes, packaging material and structures of all kinds. Families traditionally pack the lawn, enjoying picnic dinners while betting which eggs will survive the 50-foot drop.
Schedule
1:00 pm to 5:30 pm Monday – Friday
Friday 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm for Famous Egg Drop and Family Picnic
Cost
$140 if paid on or before February 15, 2018
$160 per camper if paid on or before April 30, 2018
$180 per camper if paid after April 30, 2018
Add $5 fee for camp escort by Schoolmates.
Includes camp T-shirt, snacks, crafts, & insurance.
