Oakland Firesafe Council Contest – Deadline July 4th

The Oakland Firesafe Council’s “Prep is Love!” contest sponsored by the Community Preparedness & Response (OCP&R) program for youth 21 or younger to create a short (80 second or less) video on any topic related to emergency preparedness and response. We still have 2nd ($100) and 3rd ($50) prizes that we are awarding for fun, memorable, creative, and informative videos. The deadline for submission is July 4, 2020.

We hope this will engage some younger folks in Oakland and Piedmont to think about preparing for an emergency such as an earthquake or wildfire, and give them an opportunity to be creative and earn a gift card during their summer break.
