Sofia Stahl Earned the Highest Award in Venturing
Join us in Congratulating Sofia Stahl, Piedmont BSA’s first Venturing Summit Awardee! Sofia completed a project that provided an outdoor learning space for children during COVID-19, by making 5 chairs for St. Mary’s Preschool Center. Sofia expressed her gratitude to the generous donors of her project, sharing with them: “With your donations, I was able to make five chairs for their preschool, allowing the teachers to conduct safe outdoor activities and lessons. The children couldn’t even wait until the chairs were all put down until they started climbing on them, and I was just as excited as them! In addition, your contributions fueled the completion of the Piedmont BSA’s first Summit Project ever! Hopefully, this will inspire service for future PCSC members and continue the spirit of service in our community.”
The highest award in Venturing, the Summit Award goes to those Venturers who have matured in their personal direction, skills, and life competencies, and who have accepted the responsibility to mentor others and serve their communities in a lasting way.
