Donate Your Garden Bounty to PCSC!
The Piedmont Community Service Crew (PCSC), is organizing a gleaning program where teen volunteers will pick excess fruit & produce from our community families. These events will be socially distanced to help stop the spread of Covid-19, and the picked fruit will be used for crew-sponsored cooking events that serve food insecure in need of a fresh meal. PCSC chefs will prepare the fruit and veggies and utilize them in recipes that will complement meals that we serve to various groups including the homeless, formerly homeless, low income seniors and people in transitional programs to help them to develop life skills and independence.
If your family has extra fruit or your vegetable garden has a bumper crop, please donate to our efforts! We’ll harvest and can arrange for a pick up. For more information, reach out to our crew adviser Ken Li: [email protected]
