Twilight Camp a Spooky Delight
Twilight camp was held in Dracena Park last week for 1st and 2nd graders! Kids had a great time making fun Halloween-themed snacks, crafts, and played games during the twilight hours. This event was started in 1986 by Deborah Aracic, who helped organize the event this year and attended with her daughter and grandson. Twilight Camp later became a national program in 1990. We are proud to continue the tradition of Twilight Camp in Piedmont!
Activities included: making a spider web and spider, creating a bookmark out of a mummy, making owl puppets, glow-in-the-dark soccer, racing regatta boats, eating Halloween snacks.
Kids really enjoyed working on the boats and racing them on Thursday. Also a hit was the glow-in-the-dark soccer, where kids played soccer with light-up cones and a light-up soccer ball!
